I’m passionate about all things wellness. It probably all started with my life as a sporty kid, and grew into curiosity which led me to my Physical Education degree. I fell into my job as a PT to help me through Uni – and realised I was onto something! I’ve been doing what I do now for more than 20 years (quite a bit more actually); and I still love it. I have 2 kids and a husband and lots of clients who I look after. I’ve carved out my niche over the years into what I now call wellness, although that’s a very general term. I use a combination of nutritional advice, training expertise (resistance and cardiovascular/endurance), stretching and core activation techniques, ELDOA (google that) and some mindfulness to enable people to get the most out of their life. Over the years I’ve completed lots of great courses which have helped me to upskill. I’ve also had the privilege of working with a bunch of incredible trainers, massage therapists, doctors, physios, osteos and chiropractors over my career who have all added so much to what I know and how I practise.
I am going really well with both food and exercise. I have completely weaned myself off supermarket bread and in fact go most days without eating bread. I eat the paleo bread instead. I am eating lots of good fat and protein, rarely crave sugar and rarely eat it. I am eating very few processed foods at all and about 80 per cent less carbs than what i was eating. I throw brown rice and quinoa into salads or stir-fries sometimes when I feel like carbs. Eating loads of veg. I have lost at least 5 kilos and my body is changing significantly….a lot more strength and definition in my legs and stomach, and my bum seems to be a better shape. I am feeling lighter and leaner and much healthier. I can’t thank you enough. I am managing the fatigue better I think and have had less bouts of it. I will be strong enough soon (and hopefully have enough energy) to go back to yoga…which will be wonderful.
